Frequently asked questions

Your questions about solar in Morocco

How much does 1 kWp of solar panels produce in Morocco?

In Morocco, 1 kWp with a good orientation produces on average 1,500 to 1,750 kWh per year depending on the region. On our installations we use about 1,650 kWh/kWp/year in Casablanca, Bouskoura or Essaouira and 1,700 kWh/kWp/year on the inland plateaus such as Khouribga or Tifelt. A 15 kWp system therefore produces ≈ 25 MWh per year, which covers the consumption of a large villa or a small business.

On-grid or hybrid system with batteries: which one should you choose?

Choose on-grid if the grid is stable and most of your consumption happens during the day: it is the cheapest option per kWp. Choose hybrid if you suffer from outages, if you have critical loads (cold rooms, servers, pumps) or heavy evening consumption: a hybrid inverter plus lithium batteries (e.g. 2 × 5 kWh for a villa) ensures continuity and increases self-consumption. Many of our clients choose a “battery-ready” hybrid inverter in on-grid mode, to add storage later.

Is solar pumping profitable for a farm?

Yes, as soon as the pump runs several hours a day: solar pumping removes both the fuel and the grid connection. Example: a 7 HP pump in Tifelt powered by 12 × 720 W panels (8.64 kWp) and a Veichi 5.5 kW solar drive irrigates without diesel, for a production of ≈ 14.7 MWh/year. Sizing depends on the total dynamic head (TDH), the daily flow rate and the local solar resource.

Which panels and inverters do you install?

We install tier-one modules — JA Solar, Jinko Solar, LONGi, Canadian Solar — and Huawei, SMA, Deye, Sungrow, Solis or SAJ inverters depending on the project, with Veichi, INVT or LORENTZ solar drives for pumping, and ABB and Schneider Electric electrical equipment. Every project receives a technical sheet stating brand, model and warranties.

Do you work everywhere in Morocco?

Yes. Based in Casablanca, we have completed installations in Tangier, Casablanca, Safi, Marrakech, Essaouira, Khouribga, Benslimane, Bouskoura, Tifelt, Meknes and other cities. We travel for the site visit, the installation and the maintenance.

Do you offer maintenance after installation?

Yes. We handle commissioning, production monitoring, preventive maintenance (cleaning, connection checks, thermography) and corrective maintenance, with O&M contracts for commercial and industrial installations. Support & after-sales: +212 7 70 41 33 76.
