The SMA Storage XL Package is SMA's AC-coupled cabinet battery storage system for commercial and industrial applications, succeeding the SMA Commercial Storage Solution. Six package versions combine a Sunny Tripower Storage X battery inverter (30 kW STPS30-20 or 50 kW STPS50-20, 200–980 V DC, max. efficiency 98.0%) with an LFP battery cabinet of 89, 107 or 197 kWh usable energy, in indoor (IP20) or outdoor (IP55, with integrated HVAC, fire suppression and gas/smoke detection) execution. Up to 4 systems can be connected in parallel.

The lithium iron phosphate cells are rated for up to 8,500 guaranteed charging cycles with battery efficiency up to 98%, backed by a 10-year system and battery capacity warranty after product registration. Intelligent energy management covers increased self-consumption, peak load shaving, multiuse and schedule-based control, with monitoring via Sunny Portal powered by ennexOS, plug-and-play commissioning through the WebUI, and industry-leading cybersecurity (EU-RED, ISO 27001-certified cloud, automatic updates).
