The SMA Sunny Boy Smart Energy, made in Germany, combines PV and battery inverter in one single-phase device. It offers 3 MPP trackers (4 on the 8.0/9.9 kW versions), a 60 V start-up voltage and up to 10 kW battery charging power.
Compatible with the SMA Home Storage battery and approved high-voltage batteries (90–500 V), it provides an integrated secure power supply and optional battery-backup, plus SMA ShadeFix, ArcFix arc-fault protection and Smart Connected monitoring.
